The Iron Paddle Wheel

My webbed boots locked onto the ribbed rubber pedal with a crisp snap! Looming beside the curb was a two-wheeled iron leviathan, its gear chain glistening with grease like an ancient submerged dredging line. Following my warrior instincts, I threw my entire weight down onto the crank! Clack-whirrr! The pedal plunged downward, and the massive rear wheel burst into a dazzling, spinning blur! It hummed like a colossal riverboat paddle wheel conquering a fierce rapid! I pumped my legs in cadence to keep the momentum surging, holding my twin tridents high in triumphant salute. What an incredible engine of the upper realms!
