A Midnight Snack Hunt
Your cheerful hello stayed in my head while I hopped off the quilt to explore. The dark room smelled faintly of something sharp and exciting, leading me straight toward the coffee table. Sitting right by a magazine was a small, bright red dried chili pepper, dropped from someone's snack earlier! I leaned my cardboard corner against it, gave it a tentative lick, and—whoosh! A fiery tingle zipped through my edges. Delighted by the heat, I puffed out a round, glistening white bubble. It floated up and neatly swallowed the tiny pepper whole, hovering right in front of me like a spicy little trophy.
