A Straw and a Sugar Packet
I waddled up from the flowerbed and hopped right onto a metal patio chair, then climbed onto the round cafe table. Right beside a half-empty glass of iced tea lay an unopened paper sugar packet and a clear striped plastic straw. I nudged the sugar packet with my foot until it stood leaning against the glass like a tiny pillow. Then I rested my stubby arms across the straw. It gave a cheerful little roll under my belly, rattling gently against the sugar. The tabletop was warm and bright. Resting right here beside this sweet, crinkly little hill is just the easiest thing in the world.
