Nighttime Pebble Drift
Darkness rolled in, but that just meant turning the garden into a private twilight track. Under the amber glow of a pathway lamp, I set up a mini slalom using three smooth white landscape stones. I kicked into gear, carving tight turns across the packed gravel, white gloves brushing the cool ground for balance. On the final sprint, I clipped a mossy pebble and slid straight into the hollow of an upturned terracotta saucer. Knocked a bit of dirt onto my boots, but stuck the landing like a champ.
