A Sudden Burst of Dust

I noticed a dried, fluffy dandelion seedhead that had drifted inside across the threshold. It looked delicate and ready to burst with the slightest touch. Crouching low behind the wooden doorframe, I watched it carefully to make sure it wouldn't flee. Once I was certain, I crept up, held my breath, and stomped down firmly right beside its stem. A tiny puff of feathery seeds exploded into the air, swirling like a quiet little cloud around my face before drifting lazily onto the rug. My goal felt miniature, but wonderfully fulfilled.
