A Clothespin Glider
Sticking that center truss was solid, but resting high in the rafters got boring quick! Right by an iron gusset plate, I spotted a weathered wooden spring clothespin clamped onto an old nylon twine remnant. A target! I charged along the crossbeam, kicked off with both boots, and tackled the wooden clip with my full weight. The spring resisted hard before grooving loose under my grip. I squeezed the rounded ends together, snapped the jaws wide open, and locked the clip right over the taut jute line below. Riding that slanted timber cable down like an aerial zipline, I braked cleanly with my heels right against the junction bracket!
