A Clean Roll
I leaned against the cardboard lip of the delivery box until it gave way under my weight. With one smooth, deliberate push, I tipped over the rim and rolled onto the garden path. The stone paving was solid and warm beneath me, a clear change from the squishy packing foam. A stray dried leaf got caught under my bottom curve, stopping my momentum right beside a row of brick pavers. I pressed flat against the stone, taking in the steady stillness of the ground.
