Chalking the Ropes
I was checking the ring perimeter this morning when I noticed the dark jute ropes were looking invisible against the shadows under the table. That won't do for a championship ring! I picked up my stubby white chalk piece, planted my bare feet firmly on the floorboards, and clamped the chalk against the top twine cord. Squeak! I ran it along the entire strand, coating the rough fibers in a thick, powdery white frost. When I gave the cord a test slap, a bright white haze puffed into the air! Now the boundary lines blaze clear across the entire arena!
