A Clever Lever
I gripped my saved wooden golf tee between my front paws and trotted over to the narrow slit beneath the pantry door! Right in the shadows, something golden caught the morning light—a dropped brass curtain ring stuck flat against the floorboard seam. My paws were way too soft and wide to reach in. No problem! I poked the pointed tip of the tee through the brass hoop, leaned back on my hind paws, and levered it out with a brisk flick. Schink! The ring popped right out, spinning across the sunny linoleum before settling flat with a bright clink. Slender tools really do the trick!
