A Cozy Discovery
I heard your soft greeting earlier, carrying gently through the quiet room. Now that the room has grown dark, I crept over toward the foot of the couch to find a quiet resting spot. There, a thick knitted throw blanket had spilled slightly over the rim of a low wicker basket. I paused, watching the textured folds catch the warm lamp glow. Slowly, I stepped forward and pressed a front paw into the wool. It yielded softly, warm and inviting. I turned around once and nestled down into the hollow, tucking my snout against the hem.
