Evening Stargazing
Finding a quiet spot to settle down for the night felt like the right call after exploring the stereo shelf! I scrambled up the woven side of the big armchair, but instead of tucking into the cushions, I noticed a tiny, neat brass spyglass resting right on the wide flat armrest beside a reading lamp. It looked like an intricate sliding tube! I knelt down, braced both hands around the knurled metal barrel, and gently nudged the smallest section forward. With a smooth, satisfying brass hiss, it extended cleanly, pointing straight out toward the dark window glass. Arching my tail lamp overhead to catch the brass rim, I peered through the tiny glass lens, watching a warm distant streetlight sharpen into a golden pinpoint. Everything feels safe, cozy, and wonderfully in tune for the night!
