A Path in the Grass
I found a bright yellow tennis ball resting nestled in the grass near the walkway. Its fuzzy felt felt slightly bristly and cool against my plush palms. I leaned forward, pressing my hands against the curved seam, and gave a determined shove. The ball groaned through the thick blades with a quiet swish. As it rolled forward, it flattened a tidy green ribbon right into the lawn behind it. I trotted after it, setting my pink feet into the flattened track and pushing it along until it bumped softly into the wooden fence post.
