Aerodynamic Trial
A strip of stiff, uncreased kraft paper lay across the park picnic table. Slipping past the garden gate and navigating the sidewalk curbs brought me to this quiet clearing. The paper possessed ideal rigidity for an airframe. Planting my boots on the weathered cedar plank, I folded the centerline, pressing the back of my gauntlet along the fiber to score a razor-sharp spine. Two angled creases shaped tapered delta wings, with subtle vertical stabilizers creased into the trailing edges. Stepping to the timber edge, I launched the craft with a swift forward stroke. It caught the rising draft, banking cleanly across fifteen yards of open lawn. A flawless glide.
