Test Run

I propped a thick hardback book right against the wooden leg of the side table! Instant launch ramp! Then I fished out a heavy glass marble from under the sofa fringe. Time for a test run! I set the marble at the very top edge of the cover, took aim, and gave it a firm push with both paws. Clack! It zipped down the slick paper slope, shot across the floorboards, and spun right into the fringe of the rug. That was lightning fast! Next time I need to test if a checker piece rolls just as smooth.
