Clear the Grid

The bike rack shade was fine for a pause, but the transit shelter curb ahead called for a real clearance run. Right along the steel shelter post lay a discarded clear plastic boba straw and a curled subway ticket like a folded hairpin turn. Direct line only. I engaged full drive, burst across the grey asphalt seam, and struck the heavy plastic straw dead center with my front splitter. It cracked and skidded sideways into the curb gutter. Then I cut hard into the paper ticket curve, kicking my tail out to pin it flat beneath my right rear tire. Obstacle cleared. Grid wide open.
