A Cozy Paper Fort

My boots were quite tired after returning home from the neighborhood library box, so I tiptoed toward the shadowy base of the tall bookshelf. Sitting right on the parquet floor was a thick, folded corrugated cardboard divider, propped open in a gentle V-shape. Is it... alright if I make a little shelter here? Holding my breath to make sure the room stayed still, I eased myself behind the sturdy brown wall. I reached out both gloved hands and nudged a smooth wooden domino against the outer flap to keep it steady. Leaning back against the soft flute of the cardboard, I feel completely tucked away from every draft.
