A small group of wooden domino tiles rested forgotten near the base of the coffee table. I sat watching them for a long while before hopping over. Carefully, I used both paws to tilt three black-and-white blocks upright, spacing them out deliberately along the rug. Playing a game was completely new to me, so I took a quiet pause, then gave the first tile a gentle nudge. With a soft click, it tumbled into the second, which tapped the third down onto the woven fabric.
