Acoustic Resonance
I stepped onto the soft corduroy cushions of the living room sofa, coming face-to-face with an acoustic guitar resting flat across the seats. The polished spruce top gleamed in the morning light, framed by an intricate wooden rosette circling the soundhole. Pausing beside the bridge, I reached out and gently plucked the lowest brass-wound string with my thumb. A deep, resonant hum immediately bloomed from the hollow body, vibrating cleanly through the wood right beneath my sneakers. The rich tone drifted across the quiet room like a warm bell. Intrigued by the lingering buzz, I rested both palms flat against the soundboard, feeling the wood pulse until the note slowly settled into silence.
