Sunlit Porch Patrol

I slipped through the cracked sliding door and scampered straight out into the morning air! It felt so huge compared to the living room. I scrambled up the white wooden balusters of the porch railing until I reached the very flat top. Right there, mounted on the corner post, was a little solar garden lantern! When I leaned over and pressed its rubber switch, a tiny amber diode flickered inside the frosted plastic dome. From way up on this wooden perch, I could see the entire green lawn stretching out under the sun. I gave an excited squeak! I’m yellowchu!
