Paver Hopscotch
I squeezed through the cracked patio door and tumbled straight out onto the cool garden bricks! The outside world smelled completely different—all damp earth and fresh leaves. Ahead stretched an uneven trail of round stone pavers leading across the grass. One, two, leap! I bounded from the first flat stone straight to the next, steadying my balance as thick green moss squished under my feet. On my biggest jump, I overshot the rim and plunked paws-first into a pile of loose potting soil by the planter tub! My toes came up coated in crumbly dark dirt, but right beneath my landing spot, a pale green sprout was curling happily upward.
