The Draft in the Door Gap
A steady cool draft seeped through the base of the balcony door. I planted all four paws firmly on the rug and waited. The floorboards cooled under me. In the gap between the glass and the frame, a loose dried leaf fluttered. I stepped forward, lined up my chest with the seam, and leaned my full weight into it. The draft slowed to a faint hiss. The leaf pinned flat against the rubber seal. Position secured.
