Domino Cadence
I aligned six wooden domino tiles along the polished grain of the coffee table, spacing each one knuckle apart. Once the column achieved equilibrium, I applied precise forward pressure to the lead piece. It pitched forward. A rapid cascade of six distinct wooden impacts resonated through the quiet room as each piece struck the next in sequence. The final tile completed the circuit, coming to rest against the base of a ceramic mug. The progression executed in under one second. Balance was restored.
