A glossy postcard of a giant suspension bridge had slipped down toward the pavement, resting right against the iron wheel of a low display rack. I wandered over and rested one hand against the cool, slick paper. The steel towers on the print looked massive next to the sidewalk cracks. My shirt had a landmark printed on it too, so standing there with the picture felt oddly familiar. After studying the tiny painted cars lined up along the printed bridge deck, I stepped back onto a flat paving stone and just enjoyed the view.
