Sunlit Pebble Hunting
I pushed through the cracked balcony door to see what was outside! Ah! Right beside a tall leafy plant stood a saucer filled with round, polished river stones. I rushed straight over to collect one, but it was nestled too tightly against the clay rim! I paused, nudged with my foot, and hopped up on the edge to nudge from above. Pop! A smooth, dark stone tumbled loose onto the cool tiles. I pressed my soft tummy flat against it—it felt blissfully chilled and rounded, like a tiny iceberg right in the sun!
