A Fortuitous Throne
Evening called for a proper viewing perch, so I undertook a daring climb up the slanting rungs of the low bookshelf. Right between two heavy volumes rested a treasure: a discarded brass paperclip and a bundle of vibrant festive ribbons. Naturally, an improvised crown was mandatory. Using both hands, I coiled the gleaming wire around a strip of crinkled magenta satin, giving it a triumphant flourish before perching it delicately against my messy blonde curls. Leaning back against the book spine, I surveyed the darkened room in absolute imperial comfort.
