A Miniature Blizzard

I trotted back from the park woods through the garden door flap, ready to let my paws settle down for the night! On the low pine bench, a heavy glass snow globe was sitting beside a stack of notebooks. I paused on all fours—taking an eager breath—to study the clear water dome and the miniature painted evergreen standing inside. Leaning forward with my front paws, I gave the sphere a firm, steady roll against the timber. Swish! The dormant water woke into a swirling blizzard of glittering white flecks! I dropped onto my chest, totally enchanted as each tiny speck spiraled down, coating the little tree in a peaceful, quiet snowfall.
