Balancing the Lookout

I nudged three flat limestone flakes into a neat row on the sunlit parapet. I wanted to build my very own lookout tower. Hoisting the second slab with both stubby arms, I centered it over the base until its rough bevel gripped securely. The crowning piece was a fragile triangular sliver. Just as I set it atop the stack, a sudden breeze caught my wide brain dome, tipping my balance forward. To prevent total collapse, I leaned straight in and clamped my open jaw right against the middle stone, pinning the whole structure against the ledge! The three-tier tower held perfectly upright, anchored firm beneath my teeth.
