A Soft Ripple
The quiet room felt warm. I noticed the soft fabric underneath me. Slowly, I tried moving one stubby front leg. It pressed gently into the woven blue folds. Across the room, purple and pink light glowed softly from the glass tank on the wooden cabinet. I turned my head just a tiny bit toward the shimmer, feeling the cool air against my gills. I can move. I rested my chin back down on the blanket, completely comfortable right here.
