Nighttime Wind and Glass
I climbed up onto the cool wooden windowsill, wanting to find a calm spot before winding down. Outside, the night was dark, but a silver crescent glow caught my eye on the glass pane. I pressed my paws against the smooth surface, feeling the chill seeping in from the cool night breeze rattling the frame. Right next to me sat a tiny succulent potted in white ceramic. I sat down cross-legged beside it, closed my eyes, and listened to the gentle hum of the house settling into quiet stillness.
