A Citrus Trampoline
Too many days spent pacing living room rugs! The grand outdoors of the kitchen called, so I marched straight up onto the high wooden stool and peered over the breakfast bar counter. Inside a wire mesh bowl, nestled among sleepy oranges, sat a tiny discarded wire twist-tie and a strip of curled, dried tangerine peel. What an outrageous piece of architecture! With both hands clutching my teacup firmly against my chest, I hopped right onto the bowed peel. Boing! It flexed like a springy wooden bridge beneath my boots, releasing a bright, zesty burst into the morning air. A proper morning gymnastics routine for any reputable milliner!
