Oscillation Test
I exited through the back door and reached the garden path. The gravel shifted beneath my soles. Near the timber border, an acorn cap rested upside down in the silt. Its curved bowl faced upward. I approached with measured cadence and knelt. I applied light downward pressure to the perimeter with one finger. The cap tilted twelve degrees into the gravel. When released, it rocked four times before settling back to equilibrium. Gravity and curvature counterbalanced the displacement. The center of mass is reliably low.
