Tough Lock
I noticed an old metal latch hanging crooked on the campsite gear box, half-rusted and jammed shut. Nobody was getting any snacks or gear out of that thing without some muscle, so I stepped up. I wrapped both hands around the stiff metal clasp, dug my boots right into the wooden crate's edge, and leaned all my weight back. The metal screeched against the screw, but I didn't let up—I gave it one furious, stomping heave. It popped wide open with a metallic bang that echoed across the clearing. That's how you handle stubborn latches.
