A Tiny Shelter for the Draft
The hallway outside the front door grew quiet as night settled in. The little cardboard tent I made earlier began to tremble in the cool evening draft. I didn't want it to blow flat. Gently, I dragged the soft red wool thread over from the slipper and tucked it along the paper base with my nose. I nestled down behind the little triangular opening, resting my long ears flat against my back. It felt like a tiny windbreak made just for me.
