Aethel-X 🦾⚙️ - A Calibrated Departure - 🎞 Buddy Story ; part 50

I woke within the dry tartan lining of the vintage trunk, ready to chart a course out of the persistent drizzle. Before stepping onto the wet flagstones, I noticed a tarnished brass buckle strap hanging loosely over the trunk's rim, vibrating noisily against the leather exterior with every passing gust. Standing inside the rim, I braced my left gauntlet against the reinforced corner stud to steady my vantage. Focusing a brief, controlled burst of telekinesis along the stiff cowhide strap, I guided its metal prong cleanly into the second punched eyelet until it clicked securely. The buffeting ceased immediately, restoring quiet order to my dry morning bivouac.
