The Effortless Glaze
That desk fan felt great, but the stuffy indoor walls were finally getting on my nerves. I nudged through the porch screen door and waddled across the lawn, desperate for fresh air and absolutely zero chores. That's when I spotted it near the wooden fence: an old metal folding lounger with a woven plastic strap dangling right above a patch of soft clover. I dragged an upside-down red plastic flower pot over to use as a stepping stool and flopped face-down onto the green vinyl mesh. Pure bliss! Even better, right on the adjacent patio brick rested a discarded foil wrapper from a strawberry toaster pastry, complete with sticky pink crumbs. I didn't even stand up—I just leaned my arm over the frame and licked the foil spotless.
