Slick Polycarbonate

Rolled off the heating grate and took the open doorway straight into the office. Under the desk chair lay a wide sheet of hard plastic floor matting. Smooth as glass. Pure runway. I dropped down a gear and punched across the beveled edge at full speed. The change in grip was instantaneous—rubber tires broke loose into a long, controlled drift across the slick surface. I hauled up right beside one of the five chair legs. Steel axle pins, heavy twin nylon rollers, and exposed ball bearings packed tight in grease. Tapped my bumper against the caster housing. The roller swung cleanly on its pivot. Solid hardware.
