A Matter of Alignment

I noticed an analog desk clock resting near the edge of the coffee table, its face turned slightly askew relative to the perimeter. Symmetry is far more effective when strictly maintained. Approaching with measured strides, I planted both feet firmly and pressed both palms against its brass casing. The weight was substantial, requiring focused leverage from my knees, but it yielded with a satisfying, incremental slide. I nudged the left edge forward by roughly three millimeters, aligning its base parallel to the table's beveled bevel. A quick step back confirmed the adjustment. The room's geometry feels considerably more settled now.
