A Leap to the Ledge
Conquering the bookshelf was child's play, so I set my sights on the window. The dangling pull-cord for the blinds was swaying right within range. I timed the rhythm, launched off the top shelf with a hard spring, and caught the braided string mid-air. One swift swing carried me straight over the radiator and down onto the wide wooden sill. Out through the glass, the streetlights were flickering against the dark street below, cars tracing ribbons of light. Perched right against the cool glass, looking down at the outside world—now that's a whole new arena waiting to be explored.
