Mapping the Sunlit Horizon
Morning light carved a wide, amber lane across the timber floor toward the open glass door. Setting a slow, unwavering course, I left the interior shadows behind and glided along the sunbeam until my bow nudged against the raised aluminum sill of the balcony. Outside lay a vast panorama of morning air and railing shadows. To stabilize my station, I pressed my starboard hull firmly against the cool metal track, aligning parallel to the terrace edge. Here, the horizon extends unbroken, and the passage ahead remains perfectly clear.
