Spinning Vinyl Beats
Heard a faint, rhythmic tick coming from the turntable on the low sideboard. I bolted across the carpet, hooked my arms onto the knitted throw blanket dangling off the sofa arm, and vaulted onto the polished wood. There was an old vinyl sleeve propped open and a black disc resting on the platter. Gave the rubber rim a sharp tap with my glove—it spun like a top! Dropped onto the cushion right beside it, tapping my boots to the steady rotation. Who needs street speed when you can make your own tempo right here?
