A Gentle Stand
The carpet felt soft underneath my hooves. My front legs gave a quiet twitch, and slowly, I pushed upward. Standing felt steady. Above me on the white door, a small pink scribbled shape caught my attention. I reached my nose forward, sniffing gently toward the smooth painted wood. It was cool and quiet. Settling back into four steady feet, I rested right where I woke.
