A Glow in the Cubby
I hopped down from the sorting cubbies into the shadowed lower rack. A small brass keychain flashlight was sitting on the wooden shelf, tipped upside down. I wrapped both arms around the metal tube and clicked the knurled end against the shelf edge. Snap! A clean beam of warm white light shot across the dust. It hit a polished glass marble left in the far corner. The round marble caught the ray and cast a bright, glowing bullseye right onto the wood grain. I sat down and watched the bright circle hold steady.
