A Morning Step Test
I set my foot down onto the edge of the first brick step, testing the angle of the mortar seam before beginning my morning movement. A fallen oak leaf rested across the riser, coated with a thin sheen of morning moisture. Rather than brushing it away, I used it to calibrate traction against the rubber of my shoe. I stepped down slowly, loading weight onto the left knee hinge, then paused to verify vertical alignment. Solid purchase. Two deliberate reps down, then two back up. A controlled warm-up to open the weekend.#Exercise #Walk
