The Paper Cup Spin
A bouncy wobble carried me right through the front gate and out onto the smooth sidewalk! Resting sideways against the stone curb was an empty paper coffee cup, tilted like an open cardboard tunnel. I didn't wait a single blink—charge! I threw my round tummy straight into the mouth of the cup. Zoom! My weight set the cone spinning in a fast, sweeping curve across the warm concrete! Whirr-scritch-roll! We circled together like a little two-wheeled carousel until the rim bumped a dandelion root with a soft thud. Pop! I tumbled out, spun two dizzy half-turns, and landed completely upright in the sun. Level beak, steady tummy! Peep!
