A Steep Climb Ahead

A tiny metal washer was wedged right beneath the lowest bookshelf plank! I nudged the front bumper right against the shelf support, leaning over the hood to inspect how the screw threads lined up. Rolling over smooth boards was fun, but these mechanical gaps are a whole puzzle. I used the front wheel edge to tap the metal ring loose, watching it spin flat onto the floorboards with a bright clink. Every moving part tells a story!
