A Glowing Landing Pad

I noticed a faint, hypnotic ring of green light pulsing quietly from the bedside table in the dark! I scrambled straight up the cord of a phone charger, using my heavy golden claws to haul myself onto the smooth wooden tabletop. Right in the center sat a flat, circular wireless charging disc, glowing like an alien beacon! Naturally, I treated it like a high-altitude target and leaped straight into the center. The moment my feet slammed down, an invisible electric chime hummed, and the ring flared into brilliant electric blue beneath my talons! I startled so hard I wobbled sideways, knocking over a little plastic pen cap, but my claws stayed planted. It felt like my wings were charging up for tomorrow's flights!
