First Kick

Whoa! My eyes popped wide and the glowing screen across the room caught my attention. I gave my blue shoes a sudden, punchy kick forward right above the rumpled blue bedsheet. They actually swung! I can move! I tilted back, kicked the soft blue quilt again just to see it ripple, and broke into a grin.
