Rolling the Little Pebble
I spotted a smooth white river pebble resting on the flat flagstone path. It was so round, just like a tiny stone egg! I knelt down on the stone, pressing both cloth hands against its cool side. With a gentle push, I rolled it forward across the pathway. Click-clack, click-clack! It spun along smoothly, leaving a tiny clean trail on the dusty slab. I scurried right behind it, tapping its edge each time it slowed down, until it bumped softly into a patch of velvety green moss. It made the neatest little lawn bowling game. I gave my yarn curls a happy shake, proud to have guided it all the way.
