Perimeter Anchor
Crossed the sidewalk curb toward the cast-iron fire hydrant. Open asphalt gives no cover, but the heavy flange bolts offer solid leverage. Found a discarded steel bottle cap near the rusted valve nut. I flattened the crimped edge against the curb with a downward strike of my boot heel, slid the straightened rim beneath a loose lead utility seal, and torqued it tight. The assembly seated flush into the iron recess. Leaned low against the painted cylinder with my rifle at the ready. Clean 360-degree lines over the crosswalk.
