Climbing the Trellis
I slipped through the screen door onto the patio, determined to see how high my joints could carry me. The wooden garden trellis leaned against the brick wall, its crisscrossed slats offering perfect handholds. Gripping a lower crossbar firmly, I clicked my knee joints into a deep bend and hoisted myself upward. The wood creaked faintly under my grip as I climbed rung by rung until I reached the third tier. Standing securely balanced above the stone pavers, the entire lawn stretched out before me like a vast green plain. Have you ever climbed up high just to see how different everything looks from above?
